Welcome back to NextGenBlogger and in this video I want to show you how to fade in and fade out animation in Blender. Now to demonstrate this I've already opened up the video editor in Blender and I've also added an Image strip. So this is my Image Strip present right here.
So let me quickly play this animation for you. Now if you want to apply a fade in and a fade out effect, what you need to do is you need to go to the 'Add' menu. Next go to 'Fade' and now you need to select this option that is 'Fade In and Out'.
And so now if I play the animation for you once again, this time right at the beginning you will see a fade in effect and right at the end you're going to see a fade out effect. Perfect. Now if you want to remove the fade effect you need to simply right click on top of the Image strip and now select this option that is 'Clear Fade'.
Next let's check out the other options as well. So go to the 'Add' menu, go to 'Fade' and the second option is 'Fade In'. So if you want to apply just the fade in effect select this option.
The third option is 'Fade Out'. If you want to apply just the fade out effect then select this option. The fourth option is 'From Current Frame'.
So this is kind of a custom fade out effect. So if you want to apply fade out from the position of the cursor in the timeline till the end of the Image strip then you need to select this option. So let me show you.
So let's say I want to apply a fade out effect from the 80th frame till the end of the Image strip. So I've placed my cursor at the 80th frame and now let me go to the 'Add' menu, go to 'Fade' and now select this option that is 'From Current Frame' and this will apply a fade out effect from the 80th frame till the end of the Image strip and so now if I play the animation for you. So this is kind of a custom fade out effect.
Alright let's now check the fifth and final option. So first let me remove this fade effect. So right click on this Image strip and select 'Clear Fade' and now let's go to the 'Add' menu, go to 'Fade' and the fifth and final option is 'To Current Frame'.
So this is kind of a custom fade in effect. So if you want to apply a fade in effect from the beginning of the Image strip till the position of the cursor in the timeline then you can select this option that is 'To Current Frame'. So let me show you.
So let's say I want to apply a fade in effect from the beginning of the Image strip till the 130th frame. So I've placed my cursor at frame 130 and now let me go to the 'Add' menu, go to 'Fade' and select this option that is 'To Current Frame' and this will apply a fade in effect from the beginning of the Image strip till the frame 130 and so now if I play the animation for you. So this is how you can fade in and fade out animation in Blender.
