However, this potent mix of emotions and enthusiasm can lead some of us to rush things - and we make a few common errors when we first try out wearing the kilt - whether traditional Highland Dress or a simple modern cargo kilt (utility kilt, etc.)

In this video we discuss some of the pitfalls of getting into kilts for the first time. The underlying advice we have though we don't articulate it exactly in our chat is TAKE YOUR TIME.

Many of the common errors made with selecting, buying and wearing the kilt can be attributed to impatience...
You want the kilt NOW so you skimp on the cost rather than save a little more money to get what you really want.
You want the kilt NOW so you just use pants measurements to get it over with (how far off can it be, right?)
You want to wear the kilt NOW so you don't double-check all the details of wearing one before you go out.

A little research goes a long way. To have the best success at adding kilts to your menswear and enjoying the "kilted lifestyle" from Day One, take enough time to research...

how to put it on correctly,
and what accessories you really need.
