Sri Banashankari Amma Temple | Famous Temple in Bangalore

Описание: Banashankari Devi Temple (or Banashankari temple) is a Hindu shrine located at Cholachagudda near Badami, in Bagalkot district, Karnataka, India. The temple is popularly called 'Shakambhari' 'Banashankari or Vanashankari' since it is located in the Tilakaaranya forest. The temple deity is also called the Shakambhari (Kannada: ಶಾಕoಭರಿ), an incarnation of the goddess Parvati.

The temple was constructed by Somanashetty in 1915 and this temple is famous for Rahukala pooja and prayers especially on Tuesday, Friday and Sundays

A popular belief among the devotees is that by worshipping goddess Banashankari Amma during Rahukala ,all the hardships and poverty will be removed

Lighting diyas in half cut lemon peels with pulp removed is most auspicious sign in Rahukala for devotees
