Yes, that is indeed an oxymoron, but let me explain. Just because something is built with an excavator doesn't mean it needs to be an abomination of a flow trail. The goal is to mimic the feel of hand built trails, but using the mechanical advantage of a machine to save time and energy. This is also a learning process for me to experiment with different building methods to see what works and what doesn't on my own property. I'm trying to work with the terrain, and make small alterations to improve sections of trail that needed help.
