1lb ryobi cordless air compressor vs 10lb CO2 tank. The ryobi is a great compressor. Its very light weight and the 4.0 battery can keep that compressor going. It is a great little compressor for small jobs around the house. this will also pair up gear with a brad nailer gun, since theyre not so demanding of air. The problem though, is that it takes 5 minutes to fill up one tire from 15 to 35 psi. for those running higher psi, and bigger than 31'' tires this will take a lot longer. This being the case, is the reason for me looking into a product within the same price range, but with greater overall performance. after researching , I decided to go with a CO2 tank . i went from taking 5 minutes to a little over 35sec. this is exponentially a lesser amount. When out on the trail, travel time is important, especially when hitting long distances. refilling 8 times using a compressor would take almost 3 hr. refillling with a CO2 tank would take only 16-18 minutes. Thats about 2.7hrs less than a compressor. 10 times faster. Another reason to switch to a co2 tank is the power to rebead a tire. a small compressor doesn't output enough air to rebead a tire. Anyways, in my personal opinion, the co2 tank is the winner. I filled my tank at a prax air. you can use google maps to find an air suppier. Just look up "air supply." be sure to check a few stores for prices and if they have on site refills in case you want to keep your own tank. paint ball stores also suppy co2 refills, but be sure to ask before jumping the guns.
hope you liked my home made CO2 tank
