Breaking News — A federal grand jury in New Jersey has charged Gafur Aliev with making a false statement on his U.S. citizenship application about whether he has ever been associated with a terrorist organization.
The false statement on a naturalization application count carries a maximum potential penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
And the perjury count carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
According to the indictment and statements by USCIS -- which has been working with the FBI on the case -- Mr. Aliev allegedly financed weapons to conduct jihad and lied about his association with ISIS.
Thank goodness they finally caught this nutjob.
