In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He made everything—the sun, moon, stars, animals, and plants. Then, He created the first man, Adam, and placed him in the beautiful Garden of Eden. God later created Eve, the first woman, to be his companion.
God gave them everything they needed and only one rule: they must not eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. But one day, a serpent tricked Eve into eating the forbidden fruit. She gave some to Adam, and he ate it too.
As soon as they ate the fruit, they realized they were naked and felt ashamed. When God found out, He was saddened. Because they disobeyed, He sent them out of the garden, and life became difficult. However, God still loved them and had a plan to save humanity.
This story teaches us about obedience, sin, and God’s mercy.
