19-Year-Old Girl Worried About Being Posted on YouTube After Speeding and Getting Arrested

Описание: Around 8:53 PM on April 19, 2025, Officer Boyce with the Oceanport Police Department observed a blue 2012 Chevrolet Malibu speeding while traveling eastbound on Main Street. The driver then made a left turn onto Oceanport Avenue northbound. He activated his emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop, and the driver pulled over in a nearby parking lot. Officer Boyce then exited his patrol car and made contact with the subject, who was identified as 19-year-old Kaylane Borgesdelima.

He informed Kaylane that she was being stopped for speeding. A search of her records revealed that she had an outstanding warrant out of West Long Branch. After Patrolmen Carroll and Rogers arrived on scene to assist, Kaylane was asked to exit the vehicle and placed under arrest. Officer Boyce then transported Kaylane to the Oceanport Police Department for further processing. At the station, she expressed concern that the body worn camera video of her arrest may be posted on YouTube.

After the officers photographed her and processed her paperwork, Kaylane was released on her own recognizance pending her court appearance in West Long Branch. Records indicate that on January 12, 2025, Kaylane received 2 tickets in West Long Branch for improper passing (39:4-85) and careless driving (39:4-97), but she missed court. On May 19, 2025, the improper passing citation was dismissed in the West Long Branch Municipal Court, but Kaylane did plead guilty to careless driving. As a result of her pleading guilty to careless driving, Kaylane had to pay a total of $140 in fines.

She has also received traffic citations recently in Holmdel Township, Ocean Township, and Shrewsbury. However, court records currently do not indicate any other outstanding warrants.
