ALBANIA 2025 - Maja Flamurit, Karaburun - MTB Enduro

Описание: This was the last goodbye ride in Albania. Back to Karaburun Peninsula — but this time the goal was Maja Flamurit, and yes… with antennas on top, because every proper summit needs a few metal toothpicks. 📡😄

As usual, we skipped the “Military Base”… aka the Albanian Army Museum — via a nice, wide shortcut (we’re learning, kind of).
But the moment someone mentioned again that our route might include angry bushes + TV-sized rocks, most of the crew made the wisest decision of the trip: beer 🍺 and a chill return to Vlora beach.

So it was down to two fearless riders… and no more shortcuts — just a full-on rocky grind to the summit.
On the way we met:
a viper 🐍 (polite, kept its distance),
a few annoying shepherd dogs 🐕 (security department),
and a couple of those “HI BEST FRIEND, DO YOU HAVE SNACKS?” dogs.
Petting? Sure. Sharing beer and peanuts? Absolutely not — we still had a long stretch of proper wilderness ahead.

No crowds, no civilization — just rocks, wind, and one shepherd at the start and another at the end, casually cutting the switchbacks like a pro.
Shame he didn’t yell “I’ve got a shortcut!” — we would’ve followed him instantly. 😄
