The Supreme Court has strongly criticized comedian Samay Raina over the India's Got Latent controversy involving remarks about persons with disabilities. Chief Justice Surya Kant observed that Raina misled the court and violated its earlier directions, warning that the fine could increase from ₹3 lakh to ₹30 lakh if the court's orders are not followed.
