Trey Anastasio's light, bouncy feel in the Phish song YaMar (actually a cover of a 1950's calypso song by The Mustangs) can be a tricky rhythm part for some folks because it moves quickly, and involves a syncopated feel combined with well-timed muting and interesting chord voicings. The first half of the video breaks this all down.
You can also use this sense of syncopation to create a bridge into your single note lead playing as well. This is covered in the 2nd half of the video.
