Big boost for India’s defence self-reliance! 🚀 Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has informed the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence about massive orders: 34 Dhruv helicopters, 180 LCA Tejas Mk-1A fighter jets, and 156 Prachand (LCH) attack helicopters for the Indian Armed Forces.
HAL revealed that 5 Tejas Mk-1A aircraft are already ready for delivery, with successful integration of radar, EW systems, ASRAAM, and Astra missiles. Production is ramping up with a third line at Nashik targeting 24 jets per year. Prachand’s performance in high-altitude ops led to the huge 156-unit order, while Dhruv deliveries continue strong.
Total order book? Over ₹2.22 lakh crore in major projects running till 2034! This includes HTT-40 trainers, Su-30MKI restarts, and more. A true win for Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. 🇮🇳✈️
