In this talk, Chapman Museum employee, Maureen Folk, explores the many artifacts found through archaeological investigations at the Wiawaka Holiday House in Lake George, NY.
Maureen begins by discussing how the property was used and changed while the tourism industry began in the Adirondacks. She then discusses the various artifacts that were found and what they tell us about how middle and working class women were vacationing at the turn of the 20th century.
