This is actually super easy to do!
Please use the text and the video for reference and ask me about any questions you have doing this. I’ve managed to do it successfully and feel able to guide people through the process now, so let me know if you have any questions.❤️
First your going to make a room the same size you would like your basement to be.
After doing so, you should add a 1x1 area using the L-shape feature.
Then your going to go into the basement and make a copy of the room you just made, including the 1x1 expansion.
After making the basement copy, you should mezzanine the entire room.
Next your going to minimize the size of the room on top, leaving only the last row.
Then your going to demolish the room and start customising your new open basement😛
