Описание: Blue Mountains Biodiversity Project has been working to protect and restore the natural ecosystems on federal public lands eastern Oregon since 1991. Our small grassroots non-profit organization works to stop or modify ecologically destructive logging, livestock grazing, and toxic herbicide use on the Deschutes, Ochoco, Umatilla, and Malheur National Forests, and sometimes the Wallowa-Whitman. The heart of our ecological protection work is our field survey program, and volunteers are the backbone of this work. With the help of volunteers, we survey thousands of acres of proposed timber sales each year. We use the information we collect in our public comments and objections, as well as negotiations and litigation. Please support our field season, and help us defend forests on public land. Thank you!
