Описание: Maisie Chilton's birth was traumatic. Her parents watched in shock as doctors worked for over 18 minutes to bring her to life. The ordeal left her with Cerebral Palsy, but her family brought her up just like her sister in their lively Invercargill home. Maisie was surrounded by music and art, and had a lifelong desire to paint - but never tried because of her shaky hands. When her inspirational mother Anna died in 2014, Maisie began to paint to help cope with her absence. Her painting became deeply personal, and her recent exhibition 'Where Does It Hurt' has won the attention of the Arts Foundation of New Zealand. / attitudepictures
