Lab 3 Part 1: Data Loading and Visualization
In this opening for Lab 3, we load some data from Lab 1 using a new tidyverse function, read_csv(), instead of read.csv(). We load Jenny Bryan's Gapminder Data from Github with read_tsv(). Then we install the remotes() package in order to install the Varieties of Democracy Project V-dem dataset from GitHub. We then create a dataframe with a selection of variables for a single year from V-Dem using the filter() and select() functions and the tidyverse pipe. We will use all three sets of data in the Data Viz in Part 2.
