This video was an ad-hoc recording of my experience and setup to interface an SPE 2K-FA to an Elecraft K3S or K3. The details presented are applicable to the 1.5K-FA and 1.3K-FA amplifiers as well. Even if you are not interested in the 2K-FA interface, you may want to jump ahead and see how I use Win4K3Suite to supply multiple CAT feeds to N1MM+, DXLab Commander and the 2K-FA where all feeds are full CAT capable, for polling. The Video is pretty verbose, but I think some guys will find the information useful. It was all one take with no editing, so fast forward as needed. 73 de Max NG7M
NOTE: Early in February 2018, Todd K1TM pointed out that the TX-INH output on pin 13 of the SPE amps is 12 volts. The spec on the K3(S) is for up to 5 volts. I haven't had an issue with the 12 volts for almost a year, but I did throw a voltage divider into the mix on the output to drop it down to ~5v. Thanks again to K1TM for pointing this out! Max NG7M
