Buses at Bulleen Road (Park & Ride) - Melbourne Transport

Описание: Whenever we think of park & rides for buses in Melbourne, we usually think of the popular Doncaster Park & Ride, or perhaps the desolate Altona North Park & Ride that no one uses anymore. But did you know that there's a third park & ride facility specifically for bus commuters?

In this video we visit the Bulleen Road bus stop along Thompsons Road in Bulleen. This bus stop features a small car park for bus commuters, which was recently expanded to 20 spots. The stop is used for bus commuters heading towards the city, with the bus stop situated adjacent to the Eastern Freeway. The stop is served by Smartbus route 905, frequent (by Melbourne standards) route 200, plus route 305 during peak hour and nightbus 961.

In the video we see various Transdev buses including some now-withdrawn MAN 16.220's, some MAN 16.240's (aka bubble buses), an old Mercedes Benz O405NH, a Scania K360UA articulated bus, a new Scania K310UB, and some Scania K230UB's.

As part of the North East Link road project, it's proposed that a dedicated busway will be built out to Doncaster. As part of this it's proposed that a new purpose-built park & ride facility will be built here in Bulleen.
