Argentinian footballer Pablo Aimar announced his retirement from football after 18yrs playing. Aimar started in 1997 River Plate winning three national championships before leaving for Europe.
From 2001 to 2006 he played for Valencia winning UEFA Europa League, UEFA SuperCup and La Liga twice; from 2006 to 2014 he played for Real Zaragoza, Benfica and Johor FC. In 2015 he got back to River Plate but barely played due to injuries. He retires at 35.
Aimar also played for Argentina national team U17, U20 and main squad from 1995 to 2009.
