Jute is a plant based fibre, Very difficult to clean if you don't have the right equipment. Still difficult to clean if you do. Stains very easily but not so easy to get the stains out, Some stains can be cleaned out, some respond well to a poultice but most will remain, especially pet urine, Luckily we do have the correct equipment so are not afraid to clean these types of rugs to the extreme. Its all in the drying really, If you can dry them fast then they don't cause too many problems.
