Tour of Chicago Union Station - One Of The Most Beautiful Buildings in Chicago

Описание: My first visit in more than a year, and first time seeing the newly remodeled Great Hall. It is so beautiful. I tell people all the time to step inside and see its beauty. I was traveling 3 Southwest Chief to La Plata, Missouri. This is a long line train to Los Angeles, California. Normally I take 383 Illinois Zephyr to Quincy, Illinois, but still running reduced schedule. Returning to full service in July. Yes!

Union Station had a beautiful display of an American flag in the Great Hall, hanging at the north end of the building, above the entrance.

Chicago Union Station is an intercity and commuter rail terminal located in the West Loop Gate neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The station is Amtrak's flagship station in the Midwest. While serving long-distance passenger trains, it is also the downtown terminus for six Metra commuter lines. The station is just west of the Chicago River between West Adams Street and West Jackson Boulevard, adjacent to the Chicago Loop. Including approach and storage tracks, it covers about nine and a half city blocks (mostly underground, buried beneath streets and skyscrapers).
