The Amoxtli Tezcatlipoca | In focus | Cuerpos del Tiempo

Описание: The Amoxtli Tezcatlipoca (also known as the Codex Fejérváry-Mayer) is one of the most remarkable artefacts to survive from the period before Hernán Cortés destroyed the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan in 1521.

As part of the ongoing Cuerpos del Tiempo project - a collaboration between World Museum, Luma Creations and the Esme Fairbairn Communities and Collections Fund - the Amoxtli Tezcatlipoca has been redisplayed in the World Cultures gallery for the first time since 2015.

We sat down with Lead Curator of Global Cultures Meghan Backhouse to learn more about this extraordinary piece of history.
