Sony has a timelapse app for their mirrorless cameras, but it costs $10 and there are free alternatives! I walk you through how to find the app, how to install it, and the basics for using it.

Please read both the Open Memories page and jonas's page. They have great information and pertinent cautions.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I have never had any issues with installing third-party applications and they shouldn't cause any harm to your camera, but I cannot guarantee that. If anything goes wrong, uninstall the app the same way you would uninstall any other app (using the PlayMemories app manager).
