The global energy transition is accelerating, but clean hydrogen still faces significant cost and complexity challenges. At Sparc Hydrogen, we are rethinking how green hydrogen is produced.
Our technology is based on Photocatalytic Water Splitting — a next-generation process inspired by natural photosynthesis. Using energy from sunlight, our approach splits water into hydrogen and oxygen without the need for electrolysers, grid electricity, or fossil fuels.
Located at Adelaide University's Roseworthy campus, the Sparc Hydrogen Advanced Research Pilot Plant takes our photocatalyst reactor technology from the laboratory into real-world demonstration using concentrated solar energy.
The pilot plant enables validation of performance, scalability, and commercial readiness — a critical step toward unlocking low-cost, zero-emissions hydrogen at scale.
