This summer, SJSO partnered with St. Johns County Fire Rescue, St. Johns County School District, the SJSO Real Time Intelligence and Communications Centers, for active shooter and mass casualty response training at Otis Mason Elementary School, Fruit Cove Middle School, and St. Augustine High School.
Deputies, firefighters, Public Safety Telecommunicators, and Intelligence Analysts worked together through a series of active shooter scenarios to gather information, respond to locate and stop the threat, and assist victims to safety.
