Lyrics:
Verse 1 (Female)
A tinker rolled into the town with lanterns on his cart,
a hammer on his shoulder and a wild grin in his heart.
He claimed he’d crossed a thousand roads and fixed a thousand lies,
and every tale he carried shone like sparks before our eyes.
The fiddle curled around his steps, the crowd began to sway —
for no one spun a story like the tinker on his way.
Verse 2 (Male)
“Oh gather ’round, you merry lot, and hear what I have seen!
A river that can sing at dusk, a hill that walks at green!
A fox that stole a kingdom, and a maiden fierce and true —
and every tale is half a lie, the other half is you!”
The tavern roared in laughter, boots began to keep the beat,
and soon the whole place moved as one beneath the tinker’s feet.
Pre-Chorus (Both)
Raise your hands and stomp the ground—
tinker tales come rolling ’round!
Chorus (Both)
Ho-la-hey, let the tinker play!
Midnight tales till the light of day!
Clap in time and shout his name,
ride the rhythm like a flame!
Ho-la-hey, let the winds convey
every word he spins our way—
for the world turns bright with every tale
in the tides of the tinker’s tale!
Verse 3 (Female)
A maiden challenged him to trade a riddle for a song,
he bowed with flair and answered her, “I’ve waited all along.”
She matched his wit with firelight, he countered with a grin,
and soon they danced in circles as the crowd came roaring in.
Their voices twined like river waves that crash and roll and glide—
two wanderers of wonder standing boldly side by side.
Verse 4 (Male)
He sang of wheels that carried dreams through storm and dusty plain,
of nights he fixed a broken heart with laughter’s bright refrain.
He said, “A tale can mend a soul far better than a blade—
and songs outlive the bitter truths that daylight’s burdens made.”
The maiden raised her voice with his, their harmony set sail—
and every mug was lifted to the tides that shaped the tale.
Pre-Chorus (Both)
Raise your hands and stomp the ground—
tinker tales come rolling ’round!
Chorus (Both)
Ho-la-hey, let the tinker play!
Midnight tales till the light of day!
Clap in time and shout his name,
ride the rhythm like a flame!
Ho-la-hey, let the winds convey
every word he spins our way—
for the world turns bright with every tale
in the tides of the tinker’s tale!
Final Chorus (Wild, aber Mid-Tempo — Männer & Frauen)
HO-LA-HEY, let the rafters sway!
Voices rise and boots obey!
Shake the hall and clap the bar,
sing his tales both near and far!
HO-LA-HEY, through the night we’ll stay,
hearts alight in the tinker’s way—
for we ride the storm on every trail
in the TIDES of the TINKER’S TALE!

This album opens like a door into a candlelit tavern at the edge of the world,
where fire is young, ale is strong, and every song carries the weight of a story once lived.
Before the first chorus is sung, the night gathers.
Before laughter fills the room, embers glow in the hearth.
And before the road is taken, someone listens.
Across this album, voices rise in celebration and fall into quiet reflection.
There are drinking songs and wandering tunes, but also chronicles whispered by ferrymen,
lantern-lit dances, gallows tales, and the long silence that follows when the crowd has gone home.
These songs belong to minstrels and travelers, to river crossings and winding roads,
to chance wagers, fleeting joys, and the slow return of morning light.
Here, music is not spectacle —
it is memory, fellowship, and passage.
Some songs call you to raise a mug.
Some ask you to listen more closely.
Some follow the river until it disappears into the dark.
This album is meant to be heard from the first spark of fire
to the last lantern fading at the water’s edge.
Sit down.
Stay a while.
And let the night tell its stories.
