The Minister responsible for Public Utilities, Hon. Melford Nicholas, alongside Mr. Brian Nicholas, engaged with the media to provide a comprehensive walkthrough of the Restoration Project of the 600,000-gallon storage tank at Buckleys. They highlighted the significance of this project and the vital role it plays in the continued enhancement of the reliability and resilience of water distribution to the communities served by the Buckleys Pump Station.
The areas that will be directly impacted include Buckleys Main Road, Law Pasture, St. Claire Heights, Buckleys, Swetes, Folly Development, Folly Hill, John Hughes, Wallings Tank, Liberta, Patterson, Horsford Hill, extending to Farrell Road in Falmouth.
In addition to these areas, other communities that stand to benefit from the project include Falmouth, Cobbs Cross, Piccadilly, and English Harbour, all of which will experience improved water service and enhanced infrastructure reliability.
This restoration project is a testament to the Authority’s continued commitment to supplying potable water of the highest international standard, ensuring long-term sustainability and readiness to meet the growing demands of the communities it serves.
