Join us on a journey through the beautiful traditions of a Romanian wedding! In this video, I’ll take you through our special day—from the preparations at home to the civil ceremony and the unforgettable moments in the church.

The day began with traditional preparations—while I was getting ready with the men in my family, Ana was surrounded by her bridesmaids. Then, I met with the godparents and gave the bouquet to the godmother. But before I could enter Ana’s home, I had to “pay” my way in, as a symbolic gate was set up, following Romanian customs.

One of the most remarkable moments was the church ceremony, where we were crowned like a king and queen—one of the most beautiful Orthodox traditions. We also walked around the altar, shared wine and a special biscuit, and honored the holy icons before the ceremony came to an end.
