Art Unlocked is an online talk series brought to you by Art UK in collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies.
This is the second talk in a three part mini series with Sarah MacDougall, Director of Scholarship at Ben Uri Gallery & Museum. This talk examines the experience of German and Austrian refugee artists following their settlement in Britain including their wartime experiences of internment, refugee organisations and exhibiting platforms via case histories of both established and younger artists including Frank Auerbach, Ernst Eisenmayer, Eva Frankfurther and Fred Uhlman. Sarah delivered this talk live on the 14th February 2024.
