The North East ISD school board is in the middle of a heated back-and-forth with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) over its cellphone policy.
The TEA, threatening to impose sanctions on the district in that letter.
This started months ago when Governor Greg Abbott signed a statewide ban on devices in schools. NEISD adjusted its cellphone policy but the TEA said it's not good enough.
