[MoHa Radio Recording] SNCF B81500 "AGC", Bombardier IGBT-VVVF Sound

Recorded the July 6th 2021 with a Tascam DR-07 recorder and a homemade "MoHa Radio" device + amplifier.

In this video you can listen to the traction motor sound of the SNCF B81500 trains running on the commuter train Line C in Toulouse. The AGC trains series were built to replace in the mid 2000 the aging regional trains fleet across France. This train has introduced partially low floor interior to have better passenger flow and better accessibility for disabled people. There is 3 types of AGC :
Z27500 EMU that can run under 1.5 kV DC and 25 kV AC with a power of 1900 kW.
X76500 DMU with a power of 1324 kW.
B81500 Hybrid EMU that can run under 1.5 kV DC with a power of 1900 kW and in diesel mode with a power of 1324 kW.
B82500 Hybrid EMU that can run under 1.5 kV DC and 25 kV AC with a power of 1900 kW and in diesel mode with a power of 1324 kW.
Each series can be found in a 3 or 4 car configuration, except for the B82500 series that can only have 4 car configuration due to the need to have an additionnal AC-DC transformer.
In this video the B81500 trains runs in Diesel mode, so it is less powerfull than the fully electric version. This can be clearly heard when accelerating as it is very smooth. Here you can hear the difference when accelerating :    • [MoHa Radio Recording] SNCF Z27500 "AGC", ...   ! For the VVVF type I'm not 100% sure if it is IGBT, but it clearly sounds like one.
