Honda S2000 Pheasant Wood 58.16

Описание: Fastest lap from the D Series Cup event held at Pheasant Wood Circuit last Sunday 22/06/25.

I was a last minute add on to the event as I was meant to be working that weekend but things moved around and I was free in the end. I have a round of NSW Supersprint there later in the year so I was going to use this day as practice as I hadn't been there in almost 5 years! Luckily I did too as I had noise issues all day which led to limited on track running. Even with the exhaust tip add on I tripped the sound meter each time I was out on track so I will have to do something prior to going back.

It was a cold start to the morning with temps under 10°C but the sun was out and track temps were good so the first session I took a couple laps to find myself some space and remember the track and I got into it.

Last time I was here in 2020 I did a 58.31 lap time so coming into the day I was hoping to be in the 57s. The first session looked promising and I registered a 58.16 so a tenth and a bit faster. Unfortunately this would prove to be my fastest lap of the day. In the following sessions I did numerous 58.x lap times but nothing that ended up being faster.

By the afternoon it was warm and with the noise issues I called it a day early. I looked over the car, bled the brake and clutch fluid, rotated the tyres and I'm now ready for Aus Time Attack down at Winton Raceway this coming weekend.
