What would our rowers do without their boat? The boats are – beside the rowers themselves – the vital ingredient in tackling the Atlantic Ocean.
It becomes their best friend and their home for the weeks they are facing the sea and they therefore inevitably develop a very special relationship with their boat.
There will come a time during the race when some of the rowers want nothing more but to leave the boat be it due to seasickness or a desire to quit, but out on the ocean the boat will always be the safest place there is…!
