Ret. Staff Sergeant David Bellavia, a 2019 recipient of the Medal of Honor who fought during the Iraq War, spoke at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Wednesday, a day devoted to foreign policy and national security, as well as Sen. J.D. Vance’s formal acceptance of the vice presidential nomination.

Former President Donald Trump named Vance as his running mate Monday. During the convention, delegates will adopt a party platform and Trump will address the convention Thursday.
