The Pure Strength series was one of the most memorable strongman competitions of the late 1980s 1987 to 1990.

1987 – Pure Strength Challenge (Individual)

The inaugural Pure Strength event was run as a prestigious individual championship that filled the gap left by the fact that the World’s Strongest Man was not held in 1987.
