NEW FIA Porpoising Rules Explained

Описание: The FIA has recently revealed it's intention to create new rules to prevent excessive porpoising of the 2022 F1 cars to reduce the risk to driver safety.

These new rules were brought on by protests in the media mostly lead by the Mercedes F1 team with Toto Wolff.

Mercedes porpoising has been a key talking point throughout the 2022 Formula 1 season and has highlighted some teams potential disregard for driver safety with pleas for the FIA to step in.

Ferrari porpoising has also been a major talking point but has not hurt the car in the same way it has for Mercedes so far this season.
