Tata Duende is a grumpy but well-meaning Belizean boogeyman. He is a human goblin with a bushy gray beard, a brimmed hat, backwards feet and thumbless hands that is the guardian of animals, people and the jungle that is pretty friendly, but also mischievous. He plays a silver guitar. Parents warn children not to wander off to the jungle or Tata Duende will bite the children's thumbs off. He also punishes wrongdoing hunters who kill more animals than they need to.
'Boogeymen' takes an in-depth look at the history of local monsters and travels to the small, picturesque towns where they appeared to listen to both believers and skeptics as they investigate the most recent sightings.
