John Higgins (born 18 May 1975, Wishaw, Scotland) is a Scottish professional snooker player renowned for his tactical prowess and consistency. With 33 ranking titles, including four World Championships (1998, 2007, 2009, 2011), he ranks third in all-time ranking event wins. Higgins has compiled over 1,000 competitive century breaks and achieved 13 maximum 147 breaks.

Ben Mertens (born 13 October 2004, Wetteren, Belgium) turned professional in 2022 after winning the EBSA European Under-21 Championship.
