Thanks to the influence of his father Leopold, Wolfgang frequently was given the job of composing for the important festivities of the church. So while Mozart composed mass after mass for the archbishop, other composers, like Michael Haydn, just had to stand by and watch. But there was one job Wolferl lost to Haydn, in spite of all Leopold’s efforts. On this week’s snapshot, we get to visit Salzburg’s Dreifaltigkeitskirche for a discussion about the job Wolferl didn’t get and the man who did!
