Highlights of School Bag Policy 2020

Heavy school bags are a threat to the health and well being of students.
It can have adverse physical effects on children’s growth.
Some students have to climb a lot of stairs to reach their classroom and they get exhausted carrying heavy school bags. hence comes the New Policy on School bag 2020 in place alongwith relevant circulars related to School Bag Policy 2020.
On 4th January 2021, the Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, released a circular titled Reducing the weight Schoolbags in Primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools along with the School Bag Policy 2020 that was released by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Department of School Education and Literacy, with a circular dated 24th Nov. 2020.
