MG Dennis P. LeMaster, U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence hosts the first in a series of virtual town hall sessions intended to keep the Soldiers, faculty and staff assigned to the MEDCoE informed on the organization’s commitment to the health protection of our force while maintaining Army readiness. As part of our COVID-19 response, to the maximum extent feasible, instructors are using virtual training and other social distancing measures like moving to a larger room or outdoors to ensure the proper distance or staggering in class training hours to allow more space between students. Many courses are adjusting when and what is taught during this period, while remaining aligned to the course objectives and learning outcomes, so that they are able to make these immediate changes, with the command's full support. MEDCoE’s mission of getting Army Medicine Soldiers trained and prepared to serve is vital to force readiness and the nation; social distancing measures helps ensure we are able to train safely while organizing to prevent, fight and win against COVID-19.
