Puducherry leads in voter turnout at 91.23%; Assam and Kerala see strong participation

Voting concluded across Kerala, Assam and Puducherry on Thursday, with polling ending at scheduled hours across constituencies. Officials sealed EVMs and VVPAT machines after voting wrapped up, particularly in Assam.

Assam recorded an impressive 85.38% turnout, surpassing its 2021 figures. Kerala also saw strong participation, with 78.01% turnout, higher than the previous Assembly elections. Voters present at booths before closing time were allowed to cast their votes.

Puducherry registered the highest turnout at 89.87%, reflecting robust voter participation. Counting of votes for all regions will take place on May 4.
