President Trump is traveling to Iowa on Tuesday to tout his economic agenda ahead of the 2026 midterms.
The visit to Des Moines is the latest on Trump's tour, after he spoke in Detroit and Pennsylvania in recent months. The president has seen falling approval ratings amid rising concerns over inflation and affordability — which he has largely brushed off, instead laying blame on the previous administration.
His remarks also come as White House has sought to distance Trump from turmoil sparked in Minnesota after immigration enforcement officers shot and killed two people in Minneapolis earlier this month.
