Of course the thought of wearing a urine bag isn't the most attractive thought to have, but for many men this is a welcomed solution to a problem that men face. Urinary incontinence is not a laughing matter for some. We marketed the Stadium Pal for men who wish to avoid standing in restroom lines at sporting events, but the same device is used by many who are recovering from prostate surgery, or as people get older develop "urge incontinence". This is when someone feels the need to go, but the muscles in their body aren't strong enough to hold it back until they can find a restroom. Originally called a male external catheter and leg bag system, the Stadium Pal has given it something that is easier to remember and talk about.

Another area that needs explaining is the male external catheter. As David mentions this is kept on by an adhesive lining inside the sheath. This is true; an adhesive creates the proper seal necessary so that there are not any leaks. The last thing someone wants is a leaking catheter. And the removal is not the horror that everyone perceives. They are rolled off the same way that they are rolled on. The complete system is air tight so that there is no chance of odor escaping, and the thought of any a full bag of urine strap to your leg isn't something that people want to pronounce to the world. The Stadium Pal gained its popularity in the late 90's and is still a product that gets attention today. The truth is that it REALLY WORKS. Many products come and go, but this still finds new uses every day. Anyone that has been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans can tell you the stories of how difficult it is to find a restroom when you need one.
