Bad Bunny understands Super Bowl halftime platform: NFL Commissioner Goodell

Описание: NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed questions this week about Bad Bunny possibly making a political statement about ICE during this year's Super Bowl halftime show. Goodell said the Grammy winner understands the show is about unity.
He understood the platform he was on and this platform is used to unite people and to be able to bring people together, where their creativity and their talents, and be able to use this moment to do that," Goodell said.
Over the years, the Puerto Rican music star has been highly outspoken against immigration enforcement.
In 2025, he canceled the U.S. leg of his world tour, citing fears ICE would target his fans. He also used this year's Grammy Awards to send a message.
Before I say, Thanks to G-d. I'm gonna say ICE OUT," Bad Bunny said on Sunday while accepting a Grammy award.
Those stances are a large reason why many conservatives slammed the NFL's decision. Including House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La., who called the selection "terrible" back in October.
There are so many eyes on the Super Bowl. A lot of young, impressionable children and in my view, you would have Lee Greenwood or role models doing that. But not somebody like this." Johnson said.
