In a major push to strengthen its electronic warfare (EW) capabilities, the Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to acquire 56 Internal Radar Warner Jammer (RWJ) pods for its upgraded Jaguar DARIN-III strike aircraft.
This multi-crore acquisition includes advanced jammer pods, ground support equipment, and integration with the Jaguar’s DARIN-III avionics, ensuring India’s Jaguars remain a formidable deep penetration strike force well into the 2030s.
The RWJ pods will provide:
✅ Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) coverage across 1–40 GHz
✅ Advanced jamming power in the 5–18 GHz band with DRFM technology
✅ Seamless integration with mission computers & HMDS
✅ Non-intrusive design preserving Jaguar’s Mach 1.6 performance
With adversaries like China’s J-20 and Pakistan’s future J-35, these jammer pods will give India a decisive edge in survivability, stealth, and strike power during contested missions.
