DIY DDR5 RAM 😱
Due to the rapid growth of AI, the DRAM market is currently facing a serious shortage,
which has caused DDR4 and DDR5 RAM prices to increase significantly.
In this video, I explain an interesting tech news story where a Russian modder
managed to build his own DIY DDR5 RAM during the RAM crisis.
He used DDR5 laptop SO-DIMM memory chips, transferred them onto an aftermarket PCB,
flashed custom firmware, and successfully ran a 32GB DDR5 RAM stick
at full speeds of 6400 MT/s with XMP support.
The total cost of this DIY RAM project was around $218,
which is much cheaper compared to current market prices.
