This week in AI news we’ve got a lot to unpack: MIT researchers using AI to design brand new antibiotics to fight superbugs like MRSA and gonorrhea, custom-made cancer medicine curing patients in weeks, and the U.S. government rolling out what looks like a ChatGPT wrapper for federal workers. Plus, NSF and NVIDIA are building NAIR the National AI Research Resource fueling Seattle’s growing AI scene. Google’s CEO says AI will create more jobs than it replaces, amplifying human skills rather than erasing them. On top of that, Perplexity made headlines with a wild $34B offer to acquire Chrome (yep, that Chrome).
