Wow one of the best gigs of the year and you know its good when the whole pub is bouncing.
'The Northern Section' are basically the rhythm section with the UK’s leading Northern soul band ‘The Soultrain’ - this performance will not feature the brass section of the full band.

Darrell Smith - vocals
Tec Etchells - keyboards/backing vocals
Gary Owen - drums/backing vocals
Leigh McGarvie - guitar/backing vocals
Gary Ward - bass/backing vocals

The band will play a one off exclusive performance at Number 39 Hopstar Brewery Tap in Darwen where they will be performing a selection of Northern Soul favourites from their main bands’ repertoire…. as well as a touch of classic soul thrown in for good measure. This will be an energetic soul gig so bring your dancing shoes!

Support for this event comes from 'The Soultrain' sound engineer, guitarist and good friend 'Brett Slater' who will be playing solo acoustic guitar at times aided by loops.
